BREAKING NEWS
ASELSAN, one of the leading companies of the Turkish defense industry, continues to expand its presence in international markets with new export contracts. The company announced that it has signed new sales agreements with end users abroad worth a total of $114.7 million. According to the statement made to the Public Disclosure Platform, the contracts cover several critical defense technologies.
The signed contracts include the export of radar, air defense, electro-optical and communication systems, as well as payloads for unmanned aerial vehicles and unmanned surface vehicles. This broad scope shows that ASELSAN is preferred by global users not only in a single product group, but across many critical areas of defense electronics. Radar and air defense systems are especially important in the modern battlespace for early detection, tracking and rapid response to threats.
Electro-optical and communication systems are also among the key elements of the contracts. Electro-optical systems provide platforms with high situational awareness in reconnaissance, surveillance, target detection and precision engagement missions. Communication systems, on the other hand, enable secure data transmission between field units and command-and-control centers. The inclusion of ASELSAN’s products in these export contracts reflects the company’s engineering maturity in high-technology defense solutions.
The presence of UAV and unmanned surface vehicle payloads in the contracts is also an important indicator of Türkiye’s growing unmanned systems ecosystem. Today, unmanned aerial and naval platforms gain effectiveness not only through the platform itself, but also through the sensors, communication systems, electronic warfare equipment and mission payloads they carry. ASELSAN’s export of payload solutions for these platforms shows that the Turkish defense industry is increasing its global competitiveness in subsystems and mission equipment.
The $114.7 million in new sales contracts is considered a notable development in terms of expanding ASELSAN’s export portfolio. The company’s agreements with end users in different regions for radar, air defense, electro-optical, communication and unmanned systems payload solutions demonstrate the continuing international demand for Turkish defense products. This success will contribute to Türkiye’s increasing visibility in defense electronics and support the country’s high value-added export goals.
ASELSAN’s new contracts stand out as a concrete result of the Turkish defense industry’s localization and export-oriented growth strategy. The export of a wide product family, ranging from radar systems and air defense solutions to electro-optical systems and communication infrastructures, highlights the company’s technological depth and production capability. This development further strengthens Türkiye’s position not only as a platform-producing country, but also as a powerful developer and exporter of critical electronic defense systems.
