ASELSAN, one of the leading companies in Türkiye’s defence industry, has signed two separate contracts with a total value of $166.45 million, further demonstrating both its strong domestic supply role and its export-oriented capabilities. According to the company’s statement submitted to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), the first contract was signed with the Presidency of Defence Industries of the Republic of Türkiye. Under this agreement, ASELSAN will supply guidance systems worth $111.85 million in total.
This guidance systems contract is considered a notable step in strengthening Türkiye’s precision-strike and smart munition capabilities. The company stated that deliveries under the agreement will take place between 2027 and 2028. During this period, ASELSAN’s advanced technology-based solutions are expected to make a significant contribution to the country’s defence inventory. Guidance systems are among the most critical components in modern warfare, as they improve the effectiveness and accuracy of munitions on the battlefield.
The second contract signed by ASELSAN was concluded with a domestic platform manufacturer. Valued at $54.6 million, this export agreement covers the supply of electro-optic systems to be delivered to end users abroad. In this way, ASELSAN is not only meeting domestic defence and security requirements but also contributing to projects that enhance the competitiveness of the Turkish defence industry in international markets. Electro-optic systems play a critical role in reconnaissance, surveillance, target detection and overall operational awareness.
These two agreements highlight ASELSAN’s diverse product portfolio and advanced manufacturing capacity, while also supporting Türkiye’s goals of increasing localisation and national capability in defence technologies. Projects carried out simultaneously with public institutions and platform manufacturers further reinforce the company’s strategic importance. ASELSAN’s new contracts in the fields of guidance systems and electro-optics are expected to contribute not only to the company’s financial growth in the coming years but also to Türkiye’s broader defence export performance.
