BREAKING NEWS
Turkey’s leading defense electronics company ASELSAN has taken a major step forward in radar manufacturing with the commissioning of its new Radar Integration Center, built with an investment of $50 million. The company announced the milestone via the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), noting that ASELSAN has become one of the world’s key hubs in AESA (Active Electronically Scanned Array) radar design and production. The new facility consolidates design, testing, and serial production processes under one roof, increasing both efficiency and quality assurance across the radar value chain.
Driven by rising international demand for AESA-based radar systems, ASELSAN emphasized that the new center has already created a significant boost in capacity and operational performance. To meet future growth and export commitments, ASELSAN has also begun work on an additional production complex that will triple its existing radar output. This upcoming facility, spanning 73,000 square meters of indoor space, is scheduled for completion by the end of 2027 and will serve as a cornerstone for scaling up advanced radar manufacturing to meet both domestic and global needs.
The Radar Integration Center provides a high-efficiency environment where automated testing infrastructure, modular assembly lines, and digitalized process management are fully integrated. The modularity of AESA radar architecture allows ASELSAN to adapt core technologies across multiple mission types — from airborne and naval platforms to ground-based air defense and early warning systems. This cross-platform adaptability not only reduces procurement and maintenance costs but also increases delivery reliability and mission readiness for end users.
ASELSAN’s export success continues to grow in parallel. With rising foreign demand for high-performance radar solutions, the company’s latest investment signals a clear strategic intent to expand production scalability, flexibility, and sustainability. The upcoming facility will further strengthen Turkey’s domestic defense ecosystem by fostering advanced manufacturing capabilities, expanding qualified employment, and deepening the localization rate within the radar supply chain — positioning ASELSAN as a competitive global radar powerhouse.
