Turkey’s defense software powerhouse HAVELSAN is advancing naval warfare capabilities by integrating artificial intelligence into its next-generation combat systems. The ADVENT Network-Enabled Data Integrated Combat Management System, developed in cooperation with the Turkish Naval Forces Command, is recognized as one of the world’s most advanced naval combat management solutions. Designed to meet the complex demands of modern maritime operations, ADVENT provides seamless command and control, sensor fusion, and real-time decision-making for multi-national and joint task forces.

HAVELSAN is now taking ADVENT a step further by incorporating its MAIN (Modular Artificial Intelligence Network) platform — a domestically developed corporate AI system capable of operating securely on both closed and open networks. MAIN features a proprietary Turkish language model architecture, ensuring data privacy, role-based authorization, and user-friendly interaction. Within ADVENT, MAIN will serve as a Maintenance Support Assistant, enabling natural language interaction for tasks such as identifying maintenance steps, locating technical instructions, and providing intelligent question-answer assistance across the system.

Phase 1 of the integration has been successfully completed in laboratory settings, and Phase 2 is currently underway, focusing on broader system integration and expanded operational applications. In the near future, MAIN will not only streamline maintenance workflows but also enhance operational decision-making. The AI assistant will be able to provide recommendations to operators, optimize mission planning, and increase situational awareness during complex maritime operations.

Through this integration, HAVELSAN aims to introduce AI-powered capabilities such as target identification, anomaly detection, navigation safety, situational awareness, and training support. Leveraging big data analytics, machine learning, image recognition, and large language models (LLMs), ADVENT will evolve into a more autonomous, adaptive, and intelligent command system.

By combining MAIN’s artificial intelligence capabilities with ADVENT’s proven operational architecture, HAVELSAN is positioning the Turkish Navy for a new era of smart warfare — enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and strategic advantage at sea. This initiative also reinforces HAVELSAN’s global standing as a leader in digital defense transformation and AI-driven military technologies.
