BREAKING NEWS
Turkey’s defense industry has achieved another groundbreaking success in the field of electronic warfare. The ASELSAN-developed ANTIDOT-2U/S Electronic Support Pod was recently tested on Baykar’s TB-2 UAV platform with outstanding results. What makes this system unique is its ability to deliver advanced electronic warfare and signal intelligence (SIGINT) capabilities from a small unmanned aerial vehicle — a feat no other country has yet achieved.
Defense and maritime expert Kozan Selçuk Erkan emphasized that the ANTIDOT-2 represents a technological breakthrough. “While the U.S. performs electronic warfare missions with aircraft like the F-18 Growler, and European nations rely on Eurofighter or Rafale jets, Turkey stands apart by performing these missions with UAVs. There is no other system of this scale and capability in the world,” Erkan stated.
The ANTIDOT-2 system provides long-range detection, radar signal jamming, and disruption of communication links between radar and missiles, significantly increasing battlefield survivability. It enables not only UAVs but also other friendly air assets in the same operational area to remain protected. This gives Turkey a major strategic advantage in both electronic warfare and signal intelligence operations.
Erkan further noted that the Bayraktar TB-2 remains the world’s best-selling UAV and that every new technology integrated into this platform enhances its global value. “The ANTIDOT-2 will be a key factor for countries purchasing Turkish UAVs. It’s not just a defensive asset — it’s a global selling point,” he said.
Alongside ANTIDOT-2, ASELSAN’s other electronic warfare systems, such as Gergedan 3-U, continue to expand Turkey’s defense capabilities. Together, these systems highlight Turkey’s rise as a developer and exporter of high-end electronic warfare technology, strengthening both its national defense and international partnerships.
