BREAKING NEWS
Türkiye has reached an important milestone in cyber security with the delivery of its first indigenous Endpoint Security Platform, AV-EDR, to the Ministry of National Defence. Developed by C-Prot under the coordination of the Presidency of Defence Industries and implemented in cooperation with HAVELSAN, the platform was delivered during a ceremony held at SAHA 2026.
The locally developed AV-EDR platform stands out as a concrete result of Türkiye’s goal to reduce foreign dependence in cyber security. Protecting critical systems without relying on foreign software is of great importance for defence, public institutions, energy, finance and strategic infrastructure sectors. This delivery demonstrates Türkiye’s determination to develop national solutions not only for physical defence systems but also for digital defence layers.
The platform combines Next-Generation Antivirus and Endpoint Detection and Response functions under a single agent architecture. This integrated structure enables institutions to establish a simpler, faster and more effective endpoint security infrastructure without relying on fragmented security products. The single-agent design also provides advantages in terms of easier management, system performance and operational continuity.
AV-EDR provides deep visibility on endpoints through high-volume telemetry collection and advanced threat detection capabilities. This makes it possible to identify malware, unauthorized access attempts, suspicious behaviors and advanced cyberattack techniques at an early stage. Rapid analysis and response are especially critical for preventing cyber incidents from spreading within sensitive institutions.
One of the platform’s key features is its full compatibility with domestic and national operating systems, especially Pardus. This compatibility supports the development of Türkiye’s local software ecosystem in public institutions and critical infrastructures while offering high integration and operational continuity. As a result, Türkiye’s cyber security architecture can become more integrated through the combined use of domestic operating systems and local security software.
Endpoint security and EDR technologies are complex systems that require advanced engineering, threat intelligence, continuous data processing and sophisticated analysis capabilities. Since only a limited number of countries can develop such solutions, Türkiye’s indigenous AV-EDR platform represents a valuable capability. The system developed by C-Prot could help position Türkiye not only as a user of these technologies but also as a developer and potential exporter.
The use of indigenous cyber security solutions in national defence is now considered a strategic necessity. Cyber threats can directly target military systems, public services, energy infrastructure, financial networks and communication systems. In this environment, endpoint security has become one of the most critical layers of defence architecture. AV-EDR is positioned as a domestic solution that strengthens Türkiye’s cyber sovereignty.
In the coming period, the platform is expected to be used widely in the defence industry, energy, finance, public services and other critical infrastructure sectors. Its deployment will increase Türkiye’s domestic cyber security capacity and help institutions protect themselves against threats in a faster, safer and more independent way. The delivery at SAHA 2026 is considered an important milestone in advancing Türkiye’s digital defence capabilities.
