While IDEF 2025 in Istanbul is known for its cutting-edge defense platforms, it also serves as a showcase for advanced behind-the-scenes technologies. Among these, AYDA Defense’s Radio Frequency (RF) Identification System has drawn global attention. Fully developed by Turkish engineers, the system enables end-to-end tracking of weapons, ammunition, equipment, and storage assets through embedded microchips — ensuring full inventory visibility and security for both military and civilian users.
AYDA’s innovation operates without the need for an internet connection, eliminating external intrusion risks and offering end-to-end encryption for sensitive environments. The system instantly detects unauthorized attempts to remove items such as weapons or classified documents, triggering alarms and generating detailed reports that identify the specific document or equipment involved. By tailoring configurations to each client’s operational needs, AYDA provides a customized, modular solution adaptable to a wide range of inventory and logistics applications.
According to AYDA Business Development Executive Nejat Ünsal, only four companies worldwide provide this level of capability to military organizations — and AYDA is proudly one of them. Ünsal confirmed that the AYDA system is already in active use within the U.S. Army, marking a major milestone for Türkiye’s defense technology exports. With proven field performance, the system is now being considered for deployment in other allied nations.
Ünsal emphasized that Türkiye’s advancements in defense technology are increasingly influencing the civilian sector as well. “Turkish products receive extraordinary demand in global markets, and this is made possible through strong state support and the quality of our engineering,” he said.
The AYDA RF Identification System delivers groundbreaking performance in asset tracking, loss prevention, access control, and incident reporting. By enhancing operational security for military users and improving efficiency for civilian applications, the technology positions Türkiye as a trusted global supplier of high-tech defense and logistics solutions.
