BREAKING NEWS
The Turkish defense and aerospace sector is preparing to make a significant appearance at the International Defense Exhibition and Conference (SIDEC) 2025, which will be held in Slovenia. Under the coordination of the Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB), SAHA Istanbul will take part in the event within the Türkiye Pavilion, accompanied by leading national defense companies ASELSAN, Roketsan, TUSAŞ and Sarsılmaz. Recognized as one of Europe’s key defense and aerospace events, SIDEC 2025 will host 165 companies from 19 countries, offering a valuable platform to highlight Türkiye’s industrial capabilities on the international stage.
During the exhibition, SAHA Istanbul will focus not only on promoting Türkiye’s technological strengths but also on enhancing European technology networks and expanding strategic cooperation opportunities. Within the framework of a memorandum of understanding signed in 2023, SAHA Istanbul plans to deepen its collaboration with GOIS, Slovenia’s premier defense cluster. Throughout the event, B2B meetings will be held to explore joint production possibilities, technology sharing, and supply chain integration. These engagements are expected to further strengthen SAHA Istanbul’s industrial diplomacy efforts in Europe and support Türkiye’s export-driven growth strategy in the defense sector.
SIDEC 2025 also serves as an important strategic step toward SAHA 2026, Türkiye’s largest defense, aerospace, and space exhibition, scheduled to take place in Istanbul from May 5–9, 2026. With participation expected from more than 120 countries and 1,478 companies, the event aims for a business volume exceeding 6 billion dollars. SAHA Istanbul’s delegation will use the SIDEC platform to meet potential exhibitors, increase global interest in SAHA 2026, and encourage Slovenia to participate with its own national pavilion.
Additionally, SAHA Istanbul will leverage SIDEC 2025 to promote the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) 2026, which Türkiye will host for the first time in Antalya in cooperation with the Turkish Space Agency (TUA) and under the SAHA MUEK (National Space Ecosystem Committee). Throughout the exhibition, the delegation will meet with European space technology firms to introduce participation and sponsorship opportunities for IAC 2026. These efforts aim to strengthen Türkiye’s presence in the global space ecosystem and expand international collaboration in both defense and aerospace technologies.
