BREAKING NEWS
Türkiye’s aviation and defense industry has set a new milestone with its export performance in 2025. According to data shared by President of the Defense Industry Agency (SSB), Haluk Görgün, via his Nsosyal account, the sector reached an export volume of 6 billion dollars in the January–September period—marking a 39% increase compared to the same period last year. In September 2025 alone, defense and aviation exports amounted to 574 million dollars, underlining the sector’s accelerating global momentum.
Görgün emphasized that this success reflects not merely a rise in numerical figures, but also the global recognition of Turkish engineering, the strength of the domestic production ecosystem, and Türkiye’s strategic vision. He highlighted that the strong political support and commitment demonstrated by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan have played a critical role in the industry’s sustained upward trajectory. Coupled with industrialization policies and advanced engineering practices, this momentum is transforming Türkiye into a long-term global player in the defense and aviation market.
According to Görgün, every platform developed in Türkiye today is designed not only to meet current operational needs but also to anticipate the requirements of the future. Local and national technological solutions provide durable, reliable and cost-effective systems that appeal to countries seeking sustainable defense capabilities. This has positioned Türkiye as a “trusted international partner,” thanks to its expanding network of collaborations and joint development projects across a wide geographic region.
Görgün also noted that partnerships with friendly and allied nations contribute not only to regional peace and stability but also to Türkiye’s export performance, which continues to reach new highs. He expressed gratitude to all companies, executives, engineers, SSB personnel and industry partners who play crucial roles in this growth.
Türkiye continues to strengthen its presence in the global defense market with original designs, critical technologies and competitive production capabilities. With its high-value defense and aviation products, the country is well on its way to becoming an even more influential actor in the international arena in the years ahead.
