BREAKING NEWS
The Yörük 4x4, developed by Türkiye’s leading armored vehicle manufacturer Nurol Makina, successfully completed its first mission in Indonesia during the G20 Leaders’ Summit. Held on the Nusa Dua Peninsula in southern Bali, the summit gathered world leaders under heightened security measures, where the Yörük 4x4 was integrated into the Indonesian security forces’ operations. This marked the vehicle’s first active duty in the country.
As part of the extensive security measures at the summit, Yörük 4x4 vehicles were used by the Indonesian Police’s elite special forces and Brimob tactical units. Known for handling high-risk operations, Brimob relies on advanced equipment and vehicles, and the Yörük 4x4 stood out with its superior speed, maneuverability, and enhanced protection. Security experts highlighted that the vehicle will serve as a key force multiplier for Indonesia’s security forces.
The Yörük 4x4 had already made its debut in Indonesia earlier in 2022. In June, a unit was sent for field testing by local security forces. The vehicle was also showcased at the Indo Defence Expo & Forum 2022 in Jakarta, where it received strong attention from both officials and defense industry representatives.
During the expo, Nurol Makina signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Indonesian defense company PT Jala, paving the way for the joint production of the Yörük 4x4 in Indonesia through technology transfer. This agreement not only demonstrates the success of Turkish defense exports but also represents a significant step in international cooperation and technology sharing.
