Spain has reinforced its humanitarian aid to Ukraine, which continues to face the devastating consequences of the ongoing war with Russia. Responding to a request from the Ukrainian Ministry of Health, Madrid delivered two refurbished armored ambulances through the European Civil Protection Mechanism. These vehicles are specifically designed to ensure the safe evacuation of patients and to provide urgent medical treatment even in the midst of active conflict zones.

Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares emphasized that this donation reflects Spain’s commitment to protecting and assisting the Ukrainian people. Furthermore, in 2023, Spain organized a four-week training course for Ukrainian soldiers on the operation of armored battle tanks, enhancing their combat readiness and resilience against Russian forces.
