BREAKING NEWS
One of the most innovative products of Türkiye’s defense industry, the KARAOK short-range anti-tank system, has once again demonstrated its effectiveness during recent field tests. Developed by Roketsan, the weapon is designed to enhance the operational capabilities of the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK), standing out with its portability and ease of use by a single operator.
During the latest trials, KARAOK successfully struck its target with pinpoint accuracy, proving its technological superiority and reliability on the battlefield. Roketsan emphasized through official statements that KARAOK features a fire-and-forget guidance system, making it highly effective in both day and night operations. Equipped with an infrared imaging seeker, the system ensures high hit probability even in challenging combat conditions, offering a critical advantage to security forces.
Initially designed with a range of 1,000 meters, KARAOK’s capabilities were further enhanced through ongoing development efforts, extending its reach to 2,500 meters. This expanded range makes the system particularly effective in urban warfare, close-range threat engagements, and diverse battlefield scenarios. In addition, its deployment flexibility allows it to be used in air assault, airborne, and amphibious operations, fulfilling missions of neutralizing, delaying, or eliminating enemy threats.
KARAOK is a clear example of Türkiye’s determination to meet its defense needs through indigenous solutions. By increasing TSK’s deterrence and operational readiness while reducing foreign dependency, the system highlights Roketsan’s engineering excellence and Türkiye’s growing position in global defense technologies.
