ROKETSAN General Manager Murat İkinci, speaking at the Defense Industry Forum held in Ankara within the framework of the 36th NATO Heads of State and Government Summit, emphasized that Turkey's current defense industry architecture and production capacity can play a critical role in joint production with European countries. İkinci stated that in discussions held with industry partners of NATO member states at this summit, how Turkey's supply chain and production capabilities can be utilized to address Europe's defense gap has been one of the central topics.

ROKETSAN is one of the fundamental pillars of Turkey's defense industry ecosystem. Since its establishment, it has played a leading role in the design, development, and production of missile, rocket, and guided munition systems. The company possesses the capacity to produce all types of smart munitions, ballistic missiles, air defense missiles, and anti-tank missiles. This diverse product portfolio has positioned ROKETSAN as a versatile supplier meeting NATO standards. According to General Manager İkinci's statements, the company continues to successfully produce these systems while expanding its production capacity.

Turkey's defense industry's greatest strength lies in its comprehensive supply chain, with nearly 2,000 out of more than 3,500 large and small firms engaged in production. This ecosystem is not found anywhere else in Europe. Through cooperation with ROKETSAN and other major defense companies, Turkey's supply chain can rapidly meet Europe's urgent needs. The sector, which exported 10 billion dollars last year, could reach 15-20 billion dollars if joint production models are opened. This potential will significantly increase Turkey's role in NATO's defense industry strategy.

The TAYFUN missile is a hypersonic system developed by ROKETSAN and represents one of NATO's fundamental deterrence elements. While production of Blocks 1, 2, and 3 continues, Block 4 will complete this family. The latest test in the Black Sea demonstrated TAYFUN's ability to selectively engage moving targets. The capability to neutralize moving maritime targets from hundreds of kilometers away adds significant deterrent effect to the system family. Cooperation models for developing such capabilities among NATO member states are being intensively addressed.

In global defense industry, drone technologies, smart munitions, and ballistic missiles are among the most demanded systems. Many NATO countries are users of Turkey's drone technology. Furthermore, a period is underway where the world's most important defense systems are produced by Turkey. Joint production projects with major European defense companies can provide significant contribution by ROKETSAN and Turkish defense industry for NATO's long-term technology projection and urgent needs. Demand in this field is already at a serious level.
