One of the flagship products of Türkiye’s defense industry, the YÖRÜK 4x4 Tactical Armored Vehicle, has officially joined the inventory of the Presidential Guard Department, beginning its operational duties around the Presidential Complex in Ankara. This milestone highlights not only the importance of indigenous production but also the advanced technological capabilities Türkiye has achieved in the defense sector.
The YÖRÜK 4x4 is designed to meet the needs of both security forces and military units as a lightweight yet highly capable armored vehicle. With a top speed exceeding 120 km/h, heavy payload capacity, and space for up to 11 personnel, it provides versatility and reliability in the field. Thanks to its modular design, the vehicle can be configured for a variety of roles, including combat operations, troop transport, air defense, and reconnaissance missions.
Developed by Nurol Makina, the YÖRÜK 4x4 is equipped with ASELSAN’s SARP ZAFER Remote-Controlled Stabilized Weapon System, enhancing its operational effectiveness. This integration allows for multiple weapon options, increasing the vehicle’s deterrence and adaptability in different mission profiles.
The YÖRÜK 4x4 has also drawn significant international interest. First showcased at IDEF 2017, it attracted global attention even during the design stage, securing orders from several countries. To date, Nurol Makina has signed contracts with five nations, including European partners, and continues to work on orders for hundreds of vehicles.
This achievement not only boosts Türkiye’s standing in the global defense market but also demonstrates Nurol Makina’s engineering innovation and adaptability. With its resilience, modularity, and combat-ready features, the YÖRÜK 4x4 stands out as a versatile solution for both domestic security and international operations.
