Makine ve Kimya Endüstrisi AŞ, known as MKE, is preparing to showcase ALPAY-2 at SAHA 2026 International Defense, Aerospace and Space Industry Fair. Developed for one of the most dangerous missions on the modern battlefield, ALPAY-2 is designed to open safe passages through mined areas for motorized units and dismounted personnel. Built with domestic and national resources, the system stands out as an unmanned minefield breaching solution aimed at increasing safety and operational continuity.
ALPAY-2 is intended to allow missions to be conducted in mined areas without directly exposing personnel to high-risk zones. Thanks to its remote-control capability, operators can manage the system from a safe distance and create a secure corridor through mined terrain. This capability is especially critical for forward operating areas, border regions, difficult terrain and operational zones with high threat levels.
The system was developed to operate on an armored vehicle platform. Equipped with a fully electric motor, ALPAY-2 is designed with an architecture capable of countering both anti-tank and anti-personnel mines. Its unmanned operation increases the platform’s operational value while helping reduce the risk of personnel casualties. In this respect, ALPAY-2 offers a safer and more flexible alternative to traditional mine-clearing and breaching methods.
ALPAY-2 also has mobility suitable for challenging terrain and climate conditions. The system can climb steep slopes, cross trenches and safely reach the target area. Its ability to achieve long operational range with generator support enables it to remain in the field for extended periods and support mission continuity. These features make ALPAY-2 a suitable solution for different geographical and operational environments.
One of the system’s most important features is its ability to create safe corridors in mined terrain. With its ammunition cassettes, ALPAY-2 can perform multiple launches. Explosive charges are delivered to the mined area by rocket and detonated remotely, neutralizing mines in the designated zone. This method allows a safe passage to be opened for troops and vehicles, supporting faster land operations and preventing mission delays.
ALPAY-2, which will be displayed at SAHA 2026, demonstrates the level reached by the Turkish defense industry in minefield breaching technologies. With its unmanned mission capability, remote-control structure, armored platform integration and domestic engineering foundation, the system is positioned among next-generation solutions that will increase safety and effectiveness in land operations. MKE’s presentation of ALPAY-2 at the fair will show the company’s strong engineering capability not only in weapons and ammunition, but also in systems that improve survivability and mobility for land forces.
