BREAKING NEWS
SAVX, operating as a subsidiary of Titra Teknoloji within the Pasifik Teknoloji group, has introduced an innovative operational solution for more effective field deployment of FPV kamikaze drones. The developed MERKÜT Magazine system enables multiple drones to be maintained in ready-to-deploy status simultaneously, significantly streamlining preparation and access procedures. Through this system, drones can remain available for immediate use, similar to ammunition in conventional weapon magazines. The system was first operationally tested during the Turkish Armed Forces' joint exercise Ateş Serbest.
Technically, the MERKÜT Magazine consists of drones positioned on vertically arranged shelves. Each magazine contains 8 MERKÜT FPV kamikaze drones, and up to 4 magazines can be installed in concrete positions, accommodating a total of 32 drones simultaneously. The system can be deployed in field positions, concealed by burial underground, and controlled remotely without an operator present at the site. When the topmost drone begins its mission, the next drone automatically assumes its position and remains ready for deployment. Alternatively, drones can be dispatched sequentially, enhancing operational flexibility.
The proliferation of FPV kamikaze drones in Turkish defense industry has created a need for coordinated management of multiple aerial platforms beyond individual drone operations. Solutions like the MERKÜT Magazine address this requirement by playing a significant role in drone preservation, preparation, and operational management procedures. The system adds a new dimension to Turkish defense capabilities by facilitating field organization, enabling rapid access to multiple aerial platforms, and streamlining operational preparation processes. Such solutions play a critical role in modern operations where numerous drones are deployed in coordinated fashion.
FPV kamikaze drones have rapidly become widespread in global defense sectors in recent years. Their low cost, high effectiveness, and flexible operational capabilities have established them as important elements in many nations' defense strategies. In conventional FPV operations, processes such as drone preparation, transportation, and pre-mission readiness procedures create significant operational workload. The MERKÜT Magazine concept overcomes these challenges by reducing operator workload and increasing field efficiency. The system emphasizes maintaining drones in collective storage and enabling users to manage them in a more organized manner. This approach facilitates field organization, supports rapid access to multiple aerial platforms, and simplifies operational preparation processes.
From an operational perspective, the MERKÜT Magazine system introduces new tactical capabilities in the field. The system can be deployed in field positions or concealed by burial underground, enabling a "surprise effect." While operator workload decreases, coordinated deployment of multiple drones becomes feasible. Simplified field organization, rapid access provision, and streamlined operational preparation processes rank among the primary benefits this system delivers. The advantages of such a concept in the field are measured not only by drone quantity but also by the time savings, ease of use, and operational flexibility it provides to the user.
