Turkish defense software and simulation leader HAVELSAN has taken another major step in international collaboration by partnering with CALIDUS, a defense company based in the United Arab Emirates. Under the agreement, HAVELSAN will deliver a comprehensive training ecosystem for the B-250 light attack and trainer aircraft, providing advanced simulator systems that allow pilots to achieve full operational proficiency before live flight training.
Simulation technologies offer a cost-effective and risk-free way to train pilots, enabling them to experience complex combat environments and emergency scenarios safely. HAVELSAN’s training suite for the B-250 includes several key systems:
The collaboration between HAVELSAN and CALIDUS began with a memorandum of understanding signed during SAHA EXPO and was officially turned into a contract at IDEF 2025. The agreement goes beyond technology delivery—it symbolizes a long-term strategic partnership based on innovation, reliability, and mutual trust. All systems developed by HAVELSAN will be installed at CALIDUS facilities in the UAE, fully integrated into regional flight training operations.
HAVELSAN CEO Mehmet Akif Nacar emphasized that the company designs its simulation solutions not only to replicate reality but also to prepare pilots for unpredictable real-world challenges. “This project with CALIDUS reflects our vision of developing human-centered, integrated, and secure systems,” Nacar said. CALIDUS CEO Khalifa Murad Al Balooshi added, “Choosing HAVELSAN for this project ensures that B-250 operators gain modern, future-ready capabilities. This partnership establishes the foundation for a long-term relationship built on trust and innovation.”
With this project, HAVELSAN strengthens its global footprint in simulation, software, and electronic systems, while showcasing the competitiveness of Turkey’s indigenous defense technologies in international markets. The B-250 training ecosystem marks another milestone in HAVELSAN’s mission to integrate cutting-edge digital training solutions with real-world operational needs.
