BREAKING NEWS
Türkiye’s flagship in electronic warfare, KORAL, has returned to the field more powerful and adaptive than ever after a comprehensive modernization process led by ASELSAN. The land-based Electronic Support (ES) and Electronic Attack (EA) system, long serving in the Turkish Armed Forces inventory, has been upgraded with ASELSAN’s latest-generation subsystems and technologies. These improvements bring KORAL in line with the demands of modern electromagnetic warfare, enhancing its flexibility, power, and operational endurance.
In today’s battlespace, supremacy is no longer determined solely by physical weapons but also by control over the electromagnetic spectrum. From radar detection and communications to navigation and data links, nearly all mission-critical operations depend on managing and disrupting this invisible domain. ASELSAN’s modernized KORAL gives Türkiye a decisive edge in this realm through high output power, broadband jamming, and active electronically scanned array (AESA) antenna architecture — enabling precise, fast, and wide-area signal control.
The upgraded KORAL stands out with its multi-target jamming and deception capability, a critical factor in SEAD (Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses) missions. Its adaptive software-driven design allows rapid reaction to evolving threats, neutralizing enemy radar, command, and communication networks. By disrupting an adversary’s ability to detect, track, and coordinate, KORAL ensures a safer operational corridor for friendly air and ground forces.
A cornerstone of Türkiye’s ÇELİKKUBBE multi-layered air defense architecture, the modernized KORAL serves as an invisible shield that disables hostile radars, protects friendly forces, and secures information superiority. With improved processing power, faster signal analysis, and dynamic frequency management, the system offers unmatched performance in complex electromagnetic environments.
Through this modernization, ASELSAN has transformed KORAL from a proven system into a next-generation electronic warfare powerhouse ready for the challenges of tomorrow’s conflicts. It reinforces Türkiye’s position as one of the few nations capable of developing and fielding a fully indigenous, high-performance electronic warfare suite — achieving absolute dominance in the electromagnetic domain.
