BREAKING NEWS
During the EFES-2026 Exercise conducted under Turkish Armed Forces coordination at the Doğanbey Live Fire Training Area in Seferihisar, Izmir, domestically developed defense technology systems performed successfully in operational scenarios. More than 30 systems developed by ASELSAN demonstrated performance in exercises incorporating real combat conditions. The participation of President Erdoğan during the Distinguished Observer Day and the monitoring of final-day activities by Defense Minister Yaşar Güler and Chief of General Staff General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu underscored the exercise's significance.
During the Defense Industry Exhibition organized as part of the exercise, the ASELSAN booth became a focal point for domestic and foreign military delegations. ASELSAN General Manager Ahmet Akyol provided information about the company's systems to senior visitors. The exhibition featured a broad product range spanning electronic warfare systems to communications solutions, electro-optical equipment to command and control tools. The KOCATEPE Battle Management System was deployed operationally for the first time, providing comprehensive situational awareness at all command levels for commanders and command post personnel.
The core components of Turkey's layered air defense architecture, ÇELİKKUBBE, operated together in the same scenario for the first time at EFES-2026. Systems developed by ASELSAN—SİPER, HİSAR-A, HİSAR-O, KORKUT, and İHTAR—demonstrated the integrated air and missile defense capability in operational conditions. The KORKUT 35 Low-Altitude Air Defense System, equipped with programmable ammunition capability, provided effective day-and-night defense against modern air threats including UAVs and missiles. Additionally, KILIÇ OSA, TUFAN Kamikaze UAV, ACAR UAV Detection Radar, MİLKED Ground-Based Electronic Support System, SERHAT Mortar Detection Radar, and ASELPOD Electro-Optical Targeting Pod participated in the exercise.
The next-generation Main Battle Tank ALTAY, equipped with critical ASELSAN technologies, was showcased during the exercise. Systems integrated into ALTAY enhanced the tank's effectiveness, survivability, and situational awareness. The exercise also utilized ARTSoft MAESTRO, ASELSAN's electronic warfare-resistant messaging and video conferencing software. ASELSAN's field-proven technologies were closely examined by numerous foreign military delegations and industry representatives, highlighting Turkish defense industry's position in global competition.
