Turkey’s leading defense electronics company ASELSAN achieved a historic milestone in 2024, setting new financial and operational records. The company’s foreign contract volume increased by 70% year-over-year, reaching $1.017 billion, the highest figure in its history. According to its inflation-adjusted financial results, ASELSAN signed $6.5 billion worth of new contracts in 2024, while its order backlog grew by 28% to $14 billion.
The company also saw strong profitability, with its net profit margin rising from 10% to 13%, resulting in a net profit of 15.2 billion Turkish lira. Exports reached $508 million, marking a 67% increase compared to the previous year. ASELSAN’s foreign customer base expanded to 76 countries, up from 47 in 2020, while domestic customers rose to 394 — a clear indicator of the company’s growing international footprint and diversified portfolio.
In 2024, ASELSAN signed export contracts with 7 new countries and achieved first-time international sales for 31 different products. The company also strengthened its cooperation with major Turkish defense partners including TUSAŞ, ROKETSAN, HAVELSAN, STM, and BAYKAR. Among the key contracts, ASELSAN signed agreements for smart munitions, close air defense systems, and radar-electro-optical packages with the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) and other international customers. Cooperation with BAYKAR focused on exporting IFF, satellite communication, and guidance systems, while partnerships with TUSAŞ included avionics, radar, and navigation technologies for aircraft platforms. The company also supplied remote-controlled weapon systems, sonar, and electronic warfare payloads to Asia-Pacific and Gulf countries, further broadening its export reach.
Completing 2024 as a year of records in both production and exports, ASELSAN strengthened Turkey’s global standing in defense technology. With cutting-edge solutions deployed in 76 countries, the company continues to pursue its vision of building strategic, technology-driven partnerships worldwide — solidifying its position as one of the key players in global defense electronics.
