ASELSAN, one of Türkiye’s leading defense and technology companies, is playing a critical role in advancing the National Combat Aircraft (MMU) KAAN project. According to ASELSAN CEO Ahmet Akyol’s announcement on social media, KAAN will be equipped with cutting-edge electronic and avionics systems, transforming it into “BİLGE KAAN.” This step not only strengthens Türkiye’s defense independence but also sends a strong signal to the international defense community.
KAAN’s maiden flight has already drawn international attention, highlighting Türkiye’s rapid progress in aerospace. ASELSAN’s contributions include encrypted communication systems, 3D internal communication networks, infrared search and track (IRST) technology, ground and satellite-based navigation solutions, and other high-tech systems. These innovations are designed to maximize KAAN’s operational effectiveness, making it far more than a combat aircraft — a true platform of knowledge and technology.
Akyol emphasized that KAAN’s success represents a victory for Turkish engineering and expressed gratitude to all the engineers and technicians involved in the project. He also reaffirmed Türkiye’s commitment to pursuing defense independence with unwavering determination.
With ASELSAN’s advanced technologies, KAAN is being redefined as “BİLGE KAAN.” This transformation is set to elevate Türkiye’s air defense capabilities to a new level, solidifying the nation’s strength and presence in the skies.
