BREAKING NEWS
ASELSAN demonstrated the capabilities of its electronic warfare systems developed to address evolving threat environments during a demonstration activity held at the Gölbek Firing and Test Center. The event focused on mini and micro UAVs as well as next-generation FPV drone threats, featuring two distinct scenarios utilizing the KANGAL FPV 100 Mini/Micro UAV FPV Jamming/Spoofing System and the EJDERHA AD 210 High-Power Electromagnetic Anti-UAV Countermeasure System. Both systems demonstrated their detection, tracking, jamming, and neutralization capabilities under field conditions across various targets.
The KANGAL FPV 100 proved its detection, identification, and jamming capabilities against mini and micro UAVs as well as next-generation FPV threats through multiple scenarios. During the demonstration, observer drones, wireless FPV drones, and various drone types were successfully neutralized. Additionally, VTX image and protocol analysis were successfully completed. The EJDERHA AD 210 demonstrated its detection, tracking, guidance, and neutralization capabilities against different targets under field conditions. The system successfully neutralized multiple wired FPV drones, wired and wireless-controlled drones, fixed-wing drones, and internal combustion engine-powered aircraft.
The rapid proliferation of drone and UAV usage has increased the demand for new security solutions across a wide range of applications, from critical infrastructure to operational areas. ASELSAN's electronic warfare systems provide a layered protection strategy extending from threat detection to neutralization. The EJDERHA AD 210 targets the electronic systems of UAVs through high-power electromagnetic technology, performing active detection via radar and target tracking through electro-optical systems. The system's precise guidance capability can produce suppression, restart, neutralization, or damage effects on threats containing electronic circuits.
The KANGAL FPV 100 operates with a Jamming Unit optimized against FPV threats and an MİRKET 200 RF Detection Unit. The system provides protection against mini and micro UAVs and next-generation FPV threats through its interleaved reactive jamming capability against remote command-control, GNSS, data link, and telemetry frequency bands. While no universal solution exists that can provide complete protection against all types of UAV threats independently, the complementary capabilities of these two systems offer a layered protection approach.
Turkish defense industry has taken significant steps in developing multi-layered electronic warfare solutions against UAV and drone threats. The combined use of the KANGAL FPV 100 and EJDERHA AD 210 systems provides comprehensive protection against UAVs regardless of threat type. This development strengthens domestic solution capacity against drone threats at critical infrastructure, military facilities, and operational areas. The successful demonstration of both systems reinforces ASELSAN's expertise in electronic warfare and the field effectiveness of layered defense systems against UAV threats.
