BREAKING NEWS
ASELSAN continues to reinforce its leading position in Türkiye’s defense industry not only through centralized investments but also via strategic high-technology initiatives spread across Anatolia. The company aims to increase domestic and national production, relocate the manufacturing of critical technologies to different regions, and strengthen its organizational capacity to support sustainable growth. These investments play a key role in expanding the defense industry’s production base while directly contributing to regional economic development.
In addition to its existing subsidiaries in Sivas, Konya, and Adıyaman, ASELSAN added two new companies in Gaziantep and Malatya by the end of 2025. With these latest initiatives, the number of specialized spin-off companies originating from ASELSAN has reached five. Through this model, the company’s strong R&D know-how accumulated in Ankara is transferred to local production centers, enabling higher value-added manufacturing and a more resilient supply chain across Anatolia.
Malatya has become a new focal point for military power electronics. ASELSAN established ASELSAN Malatya Electronics Industry and Trade Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary, to manage its growing activities in this field more efficiently and sustainably. The company will focus on the precise production, design, maintenance, and after-sales services of electronic components, while also ensuring faster maintenance and repair processes for ASELSAN systems used by the Turkish Armed Forces. This investment is also designed to support Malatya’s socio-economic recovery following the February 6 earthquakes.
In Gaziantep, ASELSAN founded ASELSAN Gaziantep Electromechanical Technologies Industry and Trade Inc. to expand production capacity for critical electromechanical systems used in defense projects. The new subsidiary will specialize in the design, development, and manufacturing of systems such as slip rings, which are vital components in many defense platforms. This initiative aims to establish high-volume domestic production, strengthen supply continuity, and further reduce foreign dependency in critical subsystems.
Overall, ASELSAN’s Anatolia-focused investment strategy not only enhances the national defense industry ecosystem but also contributes to regional high-technology infrastructure, export potential, and qualified employment, reinforcing Türkiye’s long-term technological independence.
