TAYFUN Missile and Weapon System, one of the most critical projects of Türkiye’s national defense industry, has successfully completed another test launch, striking its designated target with full accuracy. Developed entirely with domestic and national capabilities, TAYFUN holds the title of Türkiye’s longest-range ballistic missile. Test and development activities on different variants of the system continue, while serial production and delivery processes are progressing simultaneously. The latest successful test confirms the system’s advanced performance and operational reliability.
President of the Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB), Haluk Görgün, emphasized that the test represents more than a technical achievement. In his statement, Görgün highlighted that TAYFUN significantly strengthens Türkiye’s deterrence capability and marks a new strategic threshold. He underlined that the success reflects the dedication of Turkish engineers, the talent of young professionals, and the nation’s determination to build a fully indigenous and multilayered defense architecture.
Roketsan CEO Murat İkinci also stated that “TAYFUN is mission-ready,” stressing that serial production and delivery activities are continuing at full speed. According to İkinci, the direct hit achieved in the latest test launch once again validated the missile system’s precision, reliability, and readiness for operational deployment. He congratulated all personnel involved in the project for their contributions to this milestone.
With its advanced range, high accuracy, and adaptability to modern battlefield requirements, the TAYFUN Missile and Weapon System stands out as a key element of Türkiye’s strategic deterrence.
