BREAKING NEWS
Türkiye’s defense industry has gained remarkable momentum in recent years, attracting global attention with its indigenous technologies. Systems developed with domestic resources not only enhance the capabilities of the Turkish Armed Forces but also reinforce Türkiye’s strategic standing on the international stage. One of the most striking examples of this progress is the production of ballistic missiles by ROKETSAN.
According to ROKETSAN’s General Manager Murat İkinci, Türkiye is capable of producing ballistic missiles ranging from 107 millimeters to 610 millimeters entirely with national resources. This achievement demonstrates Türkiye’s determination to reduce foreign dependency in defense technologies and proves its ability to stand on its own in critical areas. Instead of relying on imports, Türkiye follows an independent path by focusing on domestic development.
The domestically developed TAYFUN missile represents a major milestone in Türkiye’s ballistic missile program. Its successful test firing, carried out recently, highlights the country’s significant advancement in long-range missile technology. Experts emphasize that TAYFUN is expected to enter the Turkish Armed Forces’ inventory soon, enhancing battlefield effectiveness.
ROKETSAN’s efforts extend beyond meeting domestic needs. The company exports its missile and rocket systems worldwide, contributing to Türkiye’s defense exports. Ranked among the world’s top 100 defense companies, ROKETSAN not only strengthens the nation’s economy but also boosts Türkiye’s international prestige. These developments once again underline Türkiye’s steady progress toward becoming a country that produces its own defense technologies.
