Turaç was founded in 1987 by Mehmet Saim Altunbaş as a company that took the first step into the sector with its hunting dealership. Production activities started with the modern production facility established in 2008.

Turaç, which operates in the field of defense industry, especially in the hunting and shooting sector, obtained the first rifled cartridge production permit in Türkyie and produced and sold small arms ammunition.

In addition to the production of cartridges for hunting and sports purposes, the production of ammunition for military and defense purposes is carried out in facilities consisting of 440 acres of open and 18,000 m² closed area.

Turaç has continuously contributed to the development of the hunting and shooting sector in Türkiye through its sponsorship activities. In addition, the company has been represented in the world's most prestigious hunting, shooting and defense industry fairs held in more than 20 countries spanning five continents such as America, Germany, Russia, France, England, Brazil, Indonesia and Kuwait as well as our country.

Production life started with 15 different product types; today this number has been increased to over 120.

An average of 200 million cartridges are produced annually, and approximately 60% of this production is exported to more than 70 countries. The company succeeded in being among the top 1000 exporters in Türkiye in 2019 and 2020.
