BREAKING NEWS
The Ministry of National Defense announced through its social media channels that the YALMAN Turret, developed for the Turkish Land Forces, has successfully passed its acceptance tests. Designed as a multi-role system capable of integrating various guided missiles on a single platform, YALMAN represents a significant enhancement to the Turkish Armed Forces’ defense capacity.
During trials held in Konya/Karapınar, the YALMAN turret successfully launched UMTAS and CİRİT missiles, striking targets with high precision. With its high mobility and adaptability, the system is particularly effective against armored vehicles, enemy tanks, and fixed land targets, while also offering strong deterrence against asymmetric threats. Equipped with advanced electro-optical systems, YALMAN is capable of engaging from concealed positions, increasing its operational flexibility.
The system is also designed to counter emerging threats such as drones and mock aircraft. Its integration with laser-guided CİRİT missiles enables effective defense against low-altitude aerial threats, making it a versatile solution that extends beyond ground combat scenarios.
By combining both land and air defense roles into a single platform, YALMAN addresses the Turkish Land Forces’ growing demand for multi-role vehicles. This development highlights Türkiye’s determination to strengthen its defense independence with indigenous technologies, enhancing both deterrence power and combat effectiveness in modern warfare.
