BREAKING NEWS
Ejder Yalçın 4x4, one of Türkiye’s standout success stories in armored vehicle exports, continues to strengthen its presence on the international stage. Its customized Hungarian variant, the Gidran 4x4 Tactical Armored Vehicle produced by Nurol Makina, played a prominent role in Adaptive Hussars 2025 (ADHU 25)—Hungary’s largest military exercise in recent history, conducted under NATO coordination. The exercise brought together 22,000 personnel from Hungary, Türkiye, Croatia, Italy and other allied nations, showcasing interoperability and modern battlefield integration.
Gidran vehicles, first added to the Hungarian Armed Forces in 2020, took on a central role in this high-profile exercise. Their participation served as a clear reflection of Hungary’s modernization efforts. Throughout the exercise, the Gidran’s superior mobility, rapid deployment capability, troop protection and adaptability to difficult terrain earned significant attention. The vehicle proved its effectiveness in reconnaissance, logistics support and maneuver operations—key phases requiring tactical mobility and high survivability.
Türkiye also participated in the drill with a Mechanized Infantry Platoon, and cooperation between Turkish, Hungarian and allied forces on Gidran platforms demonstrated seamless NATO standards compliance. The integration of these Turkish armored vehicles into multinational operations reinforced their reliability and operational value in a modern military environment.
Today, more than 100 Gidran vehicles are actively used by the Hungarian Armed Forces. Nurol Makina has taken major steps toward localizing production by establishing Nurol Makina Hungary and forming a joint venture with Raba Automotive. The companies are now working intensively on building a local supply chain to support on-site manufacturing.
Local production is planned to begin next year, with over 400 Gidran vehicles expected to be manufactured in Hungary. Once completed, this will increase the existing Gidran fleet nearly fivefold, significantly boosting Hungary’s tactical 4x4 armored vehicle capabilities. During the Adaptive Hussars 2025 exercise, Nurol Makina Hungary teams and local support partners also provided extensive maintenance, repair and logistic services, ensuring uninterrupted operational readiness.
The growing role of the Gidran/Ejder Yalçın family on the global stage highlights Türkiye’s expanding influence in land systems and strengthens Hungary’s ongoing military modernization efforts.
