BREAKING NEWS
The Turkish Ministry of National Defense (MoND) has released new footage from the Turkey–Algeria Special Forces Training-2025, held under the hosting of the Turkish General Staff Special Forces Command in Ankara. The joint training program, conducted between September 29 and October 8, aimed to strengthen military cooperation between the two countries while enhancing operational capabilities through intensive field exercises.
Personnel from the Algerian Special Forces Command participated in a comprehensive training curriculum focusing on multiple operational domains. Military free-fall parachute jumps, vertical wind tunnel sessions and parachute simulation modules were used to improve airborne insertion capabilities. Participants also completed fast-rope and rapid-descent techniques, along with hands-on practice on aerial evacuation platforms — vital skills for high-risk operations requiring speed and precision.
Urban warfare and close-quarters battle (CQB) training formed a major part of the program, enabling soldiers to improve their combat performance in confined and complex environments. Sniper training further enhanced long-range engagement skills. Additionally, sessions on unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems strengthened reconnaissance, surveillance and target-acquisition capabilities, reflecting the increasing role of UAVs in modern military operations.
Explosives handling, medical support and casualty evacuation drills were also conducted to enhance survivability and operational readiness in combat environments. The footage shared by the Ministry highlights the high level of coordination, professionalism and mutual experience-sharing achieved during the exercises.
The joint training program is considered an important step in deepening military relations between Turkey and Algeria while also improving operational interoperability between their special forces units.
