BREAKING NEWS
Türkiye continues to strengthen its defense capabilities with indigenous technologies. According to a statement from the Ministry of National Defense, the Mounted CİRİT (KMC) Weapon System, developed entirely with domestic resources, has successfully completed its acceptance trials and is ready for integration into the Turkish Armed Forces.
During the qualification and acceptance firings held in Konya/Karapınar, the system launched both UMTAS and CİRİT missiles, striking targets with pinpoint accuracy. Information provided by the Turkish Land Forces indicates that the KMC system is effective across ranges from 0.5 to 8 kilometers. With this capability, it can destroy armored, lightly armored, and unarmored vehicles, as well as critical buildings and weapon emplacements, with a high probability of success.
The Mounted CİRİT Weapon System is designed not only to neutralize enemy elements but also to provide effective fire support to friendly units. This dual capability grants anti-tank companies significant operational superiority, enhancing both defensive and offensive missions on the battlefield.
This achievement demonstrates Türkiye’s determination to expand its defense industry through indigenous and national production. By delivering advanced technology systems tailored to modern warfare requirements, the Mounted CİRİT System enhances the deterrent power of the Turkish Armed Forces while reinforcing Türkiye’s independence in the defense sector.
