BREAKING NEWS
As the operational scope of unmanned aerial systems expands, demand for infrastructure solutions enabling autonomous and continuous operation of these platforms is increasing. SAVX Technology, operating as a subsidiary of Pacific Technology, has developed the KORGAN smart drone station system to address this gap and has completed its first delivery. The system manages autonomous takeoff, mission execution, and return operations for unmanned vehicles while simultaneously handling energy management and data processing tasks.
The KORGAN-M, designated as the first version, has been introduced for use within the defense industry. Subsequently, the KORGAN-S compact version joined the product family. While KORGAN-M is designed for military operations, KORGAN-S has been developed for securing energy facilities, gas fields, and critical infrastructure. Both versions feature modular architecture enabling adaptation to different user requirements. Abdullah Aktaş, founder of SAVX Technology, stated that the new-generation MV-2 model has entered the field and the product continues to be improved through continuous revisions.
The system not only provides drone storage but also automates operational missions. Controlled remotely via internet or private networks, KORGAN can independently execute time-based tasks. For example, it can be programmed to conduct a patrol at a specific time; the system performs takeoff, completes the mission, records data, and automatically returns to its station without human intervention. This capability enables unmanned systems to maintain 24/7 operational readiness while significantly reducing personnel requirements.
In the Turkish defense industry ecosystem, autonomous mission management systems address a critical capability gap. Platforms such as BAYKAR's Bayraktar TB2 and TB3, along with TUSAŞ's ANKA system, require such support infrastructure to enhance operational effectiveness. KORGAN enables these unmanned aerial platforms to operate longer in the field and reduces operational burden, advancing Turkish defense industry capabilities. From a localization perspective, the system has been developed entirely with domestic technology, representing a significant achievement in autonomous system design and software development within the defense sector.
SAVX Technology is conducting negotiations for the export of the KORGAN system. Aktaş stated that the MERKÜT kamikaze drone solution has achieved significant progress, with the system delivered to two different countries and conducting operational missions in five countries. With new orders, the company has expanded production capacity and infrastructure, continuing rapid production. These developments demonstrate that Turkish defense industry products are gaining international market demand and that domestic expertise in autonomous systems technology is recognized on a global scale.
