BREAKING NEWS
Türkiye is preparing for a historic achievement in aviation with the upcoming maiden flight of the KAAN National Combat Aircraft, developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ). After being rolled out of the hangar on March 17, KAAN underwent nine months of rigorous testing. During this period, it successfully completed ejection seat trials, full-scale static tests, control surface evaluations, landing gear deployment, and fuel system checks. In addition, engine run tests and avionics integration procedures were carried out to ensure flight readiness and safety.
KAAN embodies Türkiye’s ambition to establish itself among the few nations capable of producing 5th-generation fighter aircraft. Designed to reach altitudes of 55,000 feet and speeds of Mach 1.8, the jet features twin engines, a single-seat cockpit, and exceptional maneuverability. Its low radar visibility, internal weapons bay, and advanced electronic warfare capabilities position it as a formidable platform for modern air combat operations.
Equipped for both air-to-air and air-to-ground missions, KAAN offers extended combat range and precision strike capability at supersonic speeds. Beyond strengthening the Turkish Air Force, KAAN is expected to elevate Türkiye’s standing in the global defense industry as a symbol of technological independence and advanced engineering.
The upcoming maiden flight will not only demonstrate KAAN’s advanced design and capabilities but also highlight Türkiye’s progress in aerospace innovation. More than just a fighter jet, KAAN stands as a source of national pride, eagerly awaited as it prepares to meet the skies for the first time.
