BREAKING NEWS
Turkey’s leading armored vehicle manufacturer Nurol Makina has introduced the latest evolution of its proven combat vehicle family — the Ejder Yalçın Extended Wheelbase (EWB) — which is now ready to meet its first user. The vehicle was showcased at the IDEX 2025 International Defense Exhibition held in Abu Dhabi, where it drew significant attention from military delegations and defense industry representatives. According to Nurol Makina’s Business Development Director Mehmet Çorbacıoğlu, the new variant reflects the operational experience and feedback received from existing international users, marking another milestone in Turkey’s global defense presence.
The original Ejder Yalçın 4x4 Tactical Armored Vehicle entered service with Turkey in 2014 and achieved its first export success in 2017. Since then, it has been fielded by 11 different countries, including several in the Gulf region. The new EWB configuration extends the vehicle’s chassis to increase its personnel capacity from nine to twelve, while significantly improving its mine and ballistic protection levels to the highest in its class. All qualification processes, including ballistic, blast, and mobility testing, have been completed, and the platform has successfully passed various international field trials.
Designed for urban and rural operations, the Ejder Yalçın EWB offers exceptional protection, mobility, and modular adaptability. It can perform a wide range of missions, such as reconnaissance, convoy protection, command and control, logistics support, and medical evacuation. The extended configuration provides increased internal volume and payload capacity, enhancing crew comfort and mission efficiency during prolonged operations. Nurol Makina’s latest variant combines advanced engineering with user-driven innovation, making it a highly competitive platform for modern armed forces.
With its strong mobility, high survivability, and adaptability, the Ejder Yalçın EWB demonstrates Turkey’s growing capability in the armored land systems domain. The vehicle’s upcoming entry into service marks not just an upgrade in tactical capacity but also a reflection of Turkey’s maturing defense industry, which continues to deliver reliable, mission-ready solutions for global defense needs.
