Turkey’s Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) has announced a new recruitment drive to strengthen its technical and engineering workforce. According to the official notice published in the Official Gazette, the agency will hire 36 contract employees across multiple engineering disciplines to support ongoing and upcoming national defense projects.
Candidates with degrees in computer engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, chemical engineering, metallurgy and materials engineering, naval architecture and marine engineering, industrial engineering, and aerospace engineering are eligible to apply. Applications can be submitted through the SSB’s official portal at basvuru.ssb.gov.tr until April 18, and each applicant may apply for up to two positions.
Applicants who meet the necessary criteria and qualify for the entrance exam will have their names, along with the date, time, and location of the exam, announced on www.ssb.gov.tr. The selection process will consist of a two-stage oral examination, and candidates must score at least 70 out of 100 in each stage to be considered successful. The evaluation will not only assess technical expertise but also communication skills, analytical ability, and adaptability to the defense ecosystem.
This recruitment initiative aligns with Turkey’s growing focus on indigenous defense production, digital transformation, autonomous systems, and R&D-driven innovation. By bringing in highly qualified engineers, the SSB aims to enhance its project execution capacity and reinforce Turkey’s position as a leading producer of advanced defense technologies.
