BREAKING NEWS
ASELSAN, one of Türkiye’s leading defense and technology companies, continues to expand its investments in the healthcare sector. The company announced via the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) that it has signed a new contract worth 26.07 million dollars for the procurement of medical imaging systems intended for domestic use. This agreement reflects ASELSAN’s strategy to transfer its advanced defense-industry expertise into civilian fields, particularly healthcare, where high-technology and reliability are essential.
According to the KAP statement, deliveries under the contract will be completed between 2025 and 2027. This timeline highlights ASELSAN’s ability to serve as a dependable long-term technological partner, leveraging its strong production capabilities and advanced engineering infrastructure. Medical imaging systems play a critical role in hospitals’ diagnostic, treatment and emergency response capacities, making their technological sophistication and safety a major priority.
In recent years, ASELSAN has intensified efforts to expand from defense technologies into civilian and biomedical solutions. The company has invested in medical devices, imaging technologies, biomedical systems and electronics-based healthcare equipment, all aimed at reducing Türkiye’s dependency on foreign suppliers. This new contract is seen as another important step toward strengthening the country’s national medical technology ecosystem.
The agreement is expected to boost ASELSAN’s production capacity over the next two years while contributing to the growth of Türkiye’s high-tech medical-device sector. As ASELSAN continues to broaden its footprint in healthcare technologies, hospitals and medical institutions are likely to benefit from increasingly accessible, reliable and domestically produced advanced imaging systems.
